Birmingham, AL – A federal judge has ordered Richard Scrushy and his lawyers to appear in court tomorrow. The judge wants to know why they should not be sanctioned for violating a partial gag order. The order bars those connected with the case from publicly discussing evidence or possible witnesses before the trial begins. But Scrushy attorney Art Leach has been quoted as dismissing new government claims against Scrushy. Scrushy also has been quoted criticizing the performance of HealthSouth's current managers.
