Lawsuit Filed Over I-10 Crash, Chemical Spill

By Alabama Public Radio

Tillman's Corner, AL – Two people have filed a class-action lawsuit against a Texas trucking company because of last week's crash and chemical spill near Mobile. A tractor-trailer truck crashed last Wednesday on Interstate 10 in Tillman's Corner. An estimated 100 gallons of chemical escaped, and nearby homes and businesses were evacuated. The suit was filed in Mobile federal court and seeks more than five million dollars for the residents who were forced to leave and the businesses that had to close. The suit also claims area residents suffered mental anguish and emotional distress because of the crash.
