King Warns of Hyundai Con Artists

By Alabama Public Radio

Montgomery, AL – State Attorney General Troy King is warning Alabamians to be careful of solicitors who are asking for money in exchange for helping people get jobs at the new Hyundai Motor Company plant in Montgomery. King says the solicitors claim to be able to provide applicants with a leg up in the hiring process, but they're actually con artists. The AG says many people have already paid the fees and believe that they're on a potential Hyundai employment list. But King says there are no similar legitimate operations, and there is no such list. He is urging anyone who was approached with such a proposal to contact his Consumer Affairs Office.
