Americus, GA – Habitat for Humanity International leaders will meet in South Africa in March, and CEO Paul Leonard says the group has hired a security firm to monitor the organization's Georgia headquarters while key staff members are out of the country. Leonard says respondents have been respectful and not so respectful about January's firing of Habitat founder Millard Fuller. The Alabama native and his wife were fired after a dispute concerning allegations that he acted inappropriately with a female staff member. Fuller denies the charge, and it was never substantiated. Long-time Habitat supporter Jimmy Carter said that he would attempt to resolve the misunderstandings that led to the Habitat board firing the Fullers.
