By Alabama Public Radio

Washington, DC – Governor Bob Riley will be in Washington DC today for President Bush's inauguration ... and to talk with Pentagon officials about the upcoming round of military base closures.

Governor Riley and Jim Walker, director of Alabama's Homeland Security department, are scheduled to meet with Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and two of his deputies later today.
