Tuscumbia, AL – Funeral arrangements have been set for former U-S Senator Howell Heflin. He died Tuesday at the age of 83. A memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock in the auditorium of Deshler High School in Tuscumbia. Visitation will be held after the service at The Winston Home on the high school's campus. Heflin represented the state as a Democrat in the U-S Senate from 1979 to 1997.
