Birmingham, AL – More court documents were filed Tuesday in the bombing case against Eric Robert Rudolph. They include comments from a former F-B-I bomb residue expert who is aiding the defense. Fredric Whitehurst gave Rudolph's lawyers a sworn statement challenging prosecutors' plans. They want to show jurors a model of the bomb that exploded outside a Birmingham abortion clinic in January 1998. But Whitehurst says the model is based on flimsy conclusions and includes components that were not found in the debris of the abortion clinic blast.
