Expect Low Temperatures Overnight

By Alabama Public Radio

Undated, AL – It will be cold overnight Tuesday and Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service reports the arctic air moving over the state will push temperatures below freezing again. Lows are expected to be in the low to mid 20s across much of the state. Meteorologists remind residents that water pipes can freeze under these conditions and residents should make efforts to prevent it. They say it's also a good idea to check on the elderly and bring outside pets indoors. Things will warm up as the week continues. Highs will get back into the upper 50s and 60s Wednesday and Thursday.
