Alabama's governor says the best part of his job is getting to meet people and help them solve problems.
He says the worst part is having no privacy and having security with him around the clock. He says he can't go to Wal-Mart and Lowe's by himself any more.

The 71-year-old governor said he's probably the only governor currently serving who spent his early years in a home without electricity or indoor toilets. He said his parents were poor and uneducated, but they were very loving and always encouraged him to get a good education.
