By Alabama Public Radio

Undated – U-S Congressman Robert Aderholt left for South Asia Wednesday. He'll survey the damage caused by late December tsunami. He says he's planning to visit some of the hardest-hit areas. Aderholt also will meet with Sri Lanka's prime minister and several parliament members. He says he and other congressmen are making the trip to conduct on-site damage assessments. Aderholt says they will then return to the U-S- to ask for more financial aid for affected regions. The group is scheduled to return Sunday.
