STAFF POSITIONS AT APR:

Alabama Public Radio is a department of the College of Communication & Information Sciencesat The University of Alabama.  All staff positions at the station will be announced on the U.A. Employment page located at www.jobs.ua.edu.

To apply for any open positions, you MUST use the online system.  Staff applications and resumes CANNOT be accepted by Alabama Public Radio directly.  They must go to the Human Resources department according to the directions found on the online application.  

If you apply for a position, we cannot give you information regarding the status of your application, nor can we accept supplemental materials to be added to your application.  

All materials must be submitted in accordance to the directions given to you during the online application process.  Please follow them carefully as failure to do so may result in your application being rejected  during the initial screening phase.

STUDENT APPLICATIONS:

At the beginning of each semester, the Center for Public Television, Alabama Public Radio,  and WVUA-TV usually have some student assistant positions available.  Some of these are paid positions, some are volunteer-only positions, and others are internships.

In order to be eligible to apply you MUST be enrolled at The University of Alabama.  Be sure to include a copy of your student schedule for the upcoming semester and let us know what hours you are available to work.  Most student positions are limited to 20 hours per week at minimum wage.  

Priority will be given to Federal Work Study Program recipients for paid positions and we strongly encourage you to see if you qualify for the program.
