The City of Tuscaloosa is breaking ground on the new Burrell Odom Park. Improvements to the neighborhood park will include new lighting and security, a new walking track, two new playgrounds and a new basketball court.

The City of Tuscaloosa Farmers Market is getting recognition for being voted Best Farmers Market in Alabama in the 2024 America’s Farmers Market Celebration Awards. This is the third consecutive year the Druid City’s market has won the majority of votes for best market in the Yellowhammer State.

Music lovers have the opportunity to attend the Woodstock Music Festival on Saturday, May 18th. The festival is $20 per vehicle and family friendly for all ages. No coolers or pets are allowed but guests are highly encouraged to bring their own lawn chair. There will be dozens of food venders and concessions available.

Before the rain came down in the Yellowhammer State, The University of Alabama’s department of physics and astronomy had heads turned upward at their solar eclipse viewing event on April 8. Those foiled by cloudy weather or who weren't along the path of Monday's total solar eclipse still have more chances to catch a glimpse.

The 15th annual Druid City Arts Festival, a free two-day event highlighting local artists and musicians, is coming back to Tuscaloosa. The event will take place Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6 at Government Plaza.
