Three robotics teams from the Kilby Laboratory School will be competing in the VEX Robotics World Championship on April 29 through May 4 in Dallas. The teams are actively preparing for the upcoming contest through fundraising and practice sessions.

For the second year, teams from Kilby Laboratory School’s Robotics Program will compete in the VEX Robotics World Championship competition. This is the largest robotics contest in the world, with sponsors including Amazon, NASA and Tesla. The competition is taking place in Dallas from April 25 through May 3.

Final approval has been given to the CHOOSE Act, a program in Alabama that's similar to school vouchers. Gov. Kay Ivey signed the legislation Thursday after the Alabama Senate voted 23-9 on Wednesday for the proposal.
