The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department is set to host its annual fire expo at Langan Park on Friday, Oct. 11. The family-friendly event is open to the public and coincides with the National Fire Protection Association’s Fire Prevention Week.

Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall on Florida's west coast late Wednesday or early Thursday. Alabama’s Task Force 1 Urban Search and Rescue Team deployed to the area, in anticipation of emergency response needs. Meantime, the City of Montgomery is prepared to support potential evacuees of Hurricane Milton.

Members of the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department are participating in the Fill the Boot drive. Funds raised help support Muscular Dystrophy Associations efforts to fund groundbreaking research, accelerate treatments and cures, as well as funding support services.
