Birmingham Mayor Randall L. Woodfin joined President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris this week in the East Room of the White House to address gun violence in America. He highlighted the impact of gun violence in light of a mass shooting that happened Saturday at Hush Lounge.

Relief for Montgomery residents with unpaid municipal fines and fees is being granted. Montgomery Mayor Steven L. Reed's executive order to eliminate municipal fees associated with most non-DUI traffic tickets, the misdemeanor possession of marijuana and Class C misdemeanors is in effect.
