Alabama students of all ages are getting a little bit of financial help in taking the next steps in their futures when it comes to higher education. Alabama College Application Week is happening now, where application fees at certain college and universities are being waved.

Alabama students of all ages are getting a little bit of financial help in taking the next steps in their futures when it comes to higher education. Alabama College Application Week will take place Oct. 7-11 with waived application fees. Some colleges and universities also refer to this time as "Free App Week."

The University of Alabama and the University of North Alabama are both reporting record-breaking enrollment numbers for the fall semester of 2024. Approximately 10,600 students are making UNA their choice for their higher education. Meantime, a record-breaking number of in-state first-year students highlights UA's fall 2024 total enrollment of 40,846 attendees.

The University of Alabama has joined the STARS College Network, a coalition of 32 of the nation’s most prominent institutions. These are outlets dedicated to ensuring that students from rural and small-town communities have the resources they need to be successful throughout their college journey.
