A $10 million grant is helping Birmingham Promise serve students within the city's schools system. This comes as the deadline approaches for Birmingham seniors to take advantage of the latest round of scholarship opportunities provided by the organization.

The Housing Authority of the Birmingham District has announced a new initiative in partnership the City of Birmingham and Birmingham City Schools to combat truancy. The partnership comes after BCS reported in October 2023 that nearly 25% of students are chronically absent.
