Alabama identity theft

Alabama did better than some states and worse than others when it comes to identity theft. The financial website Wallethub looked at data from the FBI and the Federal Trade Commission on issues like identity fraud complaints and state policies on data dumping and stopping spyware. Alabama was ranked midway at number twenty six nationally.

Alabama is being crowned the No.5 best state in the county for data privacy. The ranking comes with one of the lowest rates of total cybercrimes and low numbers of personal data breaches and ID theft. The findings come from a new USA TODAY Blueprint survey.

The Better Business Bureau of North Alabama is a non-profit who has been hosting the annual ‘Shred Day’s.’ The event will consist of four opportunities across the state each held on a Saturday throughout the months of April and May.

The financial website Wallethub studied issues like violent crime and identity theft to put together a list of more or least sinful cities as we start 2023.
