In response to the global waste crisis, Living With Less Plastic is a commentary (opinion piece) about how a choice to live without single-use plastic has transformed one family’s life, creating ripple effects of change and encouraging others to do the same.
Host Mary Liz Ingram breaks down what may seem like an overwhelming task into easy, step-by-step choices, inviting us to take a second look at our lifestyle habits and our culture of disposability. Sharing successes and failures, tips and advice, Mary Liz tells her family’s journey toward a more sustainable way of life, which in turn calls for more responsible, eco-friendly habits, products and packaging.
Ingram is an artist, preschool director, and community organizer who seeks to encourage environmental awareness in all aspects of life. As a wife and mom of three kids, ranging in ages from 7 to 13, she explores plastic-free living in ways that are attainable no matter who you are, or how busy you may be.
