Invisibilia
Sundays at 10:00 AM (Seasonal)

Invisibilia is about the unseen forces that control human behavior -- things like ideas, beliefs, assumptions, and thoughts. Co-hosted by Lulu Miller and Alix Spiegel, who helped create Radiolab and This American Life, Invisibilia interweaves narrative storytelling and fascinating, new psychological and brain science in a way that ultimately makes you see your own life differently.

  • We're living in a polarized world, where picking a side is almost a requirement. But what happens in the space in between?
  • Are we destined to repeat our patterns, or do we generally stray in surprising directions?
  • Sometimes we lose something so central that our very sense of self unravels, and we have to resort to extremes.
  • We examine how leaving things unsaid with our intimates can lead to misunderstandings and missed connections.
  • Can a reality show - and telling a certain kind of story - call a different kind of reality into being?
  • We examine how, when it comes to our intimates, we are confident we know everything about them, and mostly wrong.
  • Are we destined to repeat our patterns, or do we generally stray in surprising directions?
  • What happens when you lose something so central to your life that you no longer understand who you are? How do you find yourself again?
  • In its new season, Invisibilia takes a swing at the biggest cultural fights of our time, including Russian hacking, reality television, and #MeToo.
  • What happens when you discover a part of yourself that is so different from who you think you are? Do you hold on to your original self tightly? Do you explore this other self? Or do you just panic?
