Renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma is coming back to Mobile to play with the Mobile Symphony Orchestra during the 2023-2024 season.

Birmingham will be hosting another sporting event starting next year. The Magic City will be the holding The Transplant Games of America in the summer of 2024. The mission of the event is to honor the legacy of people who donate and to highlight the need for organ transplants.

The Grand Bay Watermelon festival kicks off today in Grand Bay. The annual festival celebrates the watermelon and is back for its forty ninth year. Festival attendees can expect plenty of food and entertainment and of course watermelon.

The city of Anniston is proud of their city that’s dubbed “Tree City USA”. The community northeast of Birmingham recently had to remove two trees that were one hundred and fifty years old. City officials say the trees were at the end of their life cycle.
