She joined the newsroom in December 2019 and has held other titles including Local Bureau News Chief, Newsroom Manager, Internship Director and host for Morning Edition. Before joining public radio, Baillee spent several years working in morning television news in Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee. She’s a born and raised Alabamian and graduated from Troy University where she majored in Communications and Fine Arts. Baillee enjoys collecting ceramic mushrooms and vintage glass bottles, thrifting, going to art museums and seeing plays.

The City of Tuscaloosa is honoring four football players killed in the Marshall University plane crash more than 50 years ago. The tragedy happened in West Virginia on November 14, 1970— where more than 75 people died in the crash, including the group of teammates.
