She joined the newsroom in December 2019 and has held other titles including Local Bureau News Chief, Newsroom Manager, Internship Director and host for Morning Edition. Before joining public radio, Baillee spent several years working in morning television news in Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee. She’s a born and raised Alabamian and graduated from Troy University where she majored in Communications and Fine Arts. Baillee enjoys collecting ceramic mushrooms and vintage glass bottles, thrifting, going to art museums and seeing plays.

An Alabama attraction will soon close its doors, just for a little bit, while undergoing a facelift. The Huntsville Museum of Art will temporarily close its doors from March 2 through June 2025. During this time, a state-of-the-art HVAC system will be installed.
