Doctor: Alabama's lagging vaccination rates a concern

Health officials are worried about the low vaccination rates throughout the state will cause COVID-19 cases to rise, especially after Memorial Day.

The CDC lists Alabama as having the second-lowest percentage of people vaccinated in the country, ranking only above Mississippi.

Dr. Mike Saag with the University of Alabama's Division of Infectious Diseases said the vaccine is the ticket to getting back to normal life.
