Alabamians wanting to register to vote in the June 5th primary have until the end of the day today to register.
The primary election will see voters deciding on who will represent their political party in the general election in November.
John Merrill is Alabama’s Secretary of State. He says there are several ways to get registered.
“If you have a valid Alabama driver’s license you can do it on our mobile app or you can go to our website. The mobile app is 'Vote for Alabama', but if you choose to go to the computer, go to alabamavotes.gov and you’ll be able to register for the first time or change your voting record.”
Merrill says this election is a one in twelve year cycle, in which all of the state’s constitutional offices are open and all the sheriffs, probate judges and other county officials are up for election as well. Voters needing an absentee ballot can request one until May 31st . These ballots must be received by June 4th.
