Join the Banding Coalition of the Americas and Dauphin Island Bird Sanctuaries from April 5-9, 2025 from 8am-2pm daily, as they co-host a free spring bird banding event on Dauphin Island, AL. The event is held across from the Goat Tree Reserve on Cadillac Ave. Free parking and restrooms are located at Cadillac Square, 661 Bienville Blvd. Dauphin Island. Get an up-close experience with birds as they are banded by Federally-licensed banders and safely released. Volunteers will present the birds and information about species and habitat preservation on the island in a family-friendly and all levels event. Bring a folding chair and chat for a while as nets are emptied every half-hour.
