On May 14, 2018 Alabama Public Radio's Alex AuBuchon reported on allegations of sex offenses against a key staffer of Democratic Gubernatorial hopeful Sue Bell Cobb, as well as the University of Alabama's entry in a NASA robotic mining competition, and the organizational meeting of the Distinguished Young Women of North Alabama. The newscast was rounded out by a weathercast by WVUA chief meteorologist Richard Scott.
