For Women's History Month 2025, the Up First newsletter wants to honor the women who have made the biggest impact in your life.

Women's History Month started as Women's History Week in 1982. Congress passed a law in 1987 designating the month of March as Women's History Month. Since 1995, presidents have issued a series of proclamations about the monthly celebration in order to recognize the contributions women have made to U.S. history.

Is there a woman who has changed your life or impacted you in a profound way? Let us know, and your answer may appear in the Up First newsletter on March 9 or on air on Morning Edition. Please submit responses by 11:59 p.m. ET on March 5.

See some of your responses — and get the news you need to start your day — by subscribing to our newsletter.

Your submission will be governed by our general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. As the Privacy Policy says, we want you to be aware that there may be circumstances in which the exemptions provided under law for journalistic activities or freedom of expression may override privacy rights you might otherwise have.
