In the weeks since the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, lawmakers from both parties have clashed over creating an outside commission to investigate the riot.

An Alabama man who brought multiple weapons, including 11 Molotov cocktails, to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 has reached a plea agreement.

Lonnie Coffman of Falkville was charged with multiple firearms charges after being one of hundreds arrested for storming the Capitol in support of then-President Donald Trump.

The rioters were trying to disrupt the certification of President Joe Biden's election win.
