APR Video-- Re-enactment of the Civil War "Battle of Resaca"
The Alabama Public Radio newsroom will present a week of stories on the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Mobile Bay, and Alabama's role in the U.S. Civil War in 1864. That includes the battle of Resaca, just over the border from Alabama. This year marks that battle's sesquicentennial as well. APR news director Pat Duggins took this video while covering the re-enactment of the Battle of Resaca. Civil War enthusiasts re-created the skirmish between Confederate General Joe Johnston and Union General William T. Sherman, on the 150th anniversary of the battle.
