FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) — University of North Alabama police say a student faces a charge of making a terroristic threat after he turned himself in to authorities. University Police Chief Robert Pastula said 22-year-old Brian Mitchell of Madison is accused of posting a threatening message Tuesday morning on the social media site "Yik Yak." Pastula said Mitchell posted that he was going to "Shoot up UNA." Police say another student spotted the post and brought it to the attention of Pastula, who then placed the university on high alert as a precaution. Extra officers and state police were brought in to watch for suspicious activity. University officials say Mitchell, a junior, is no longer enrolled at UNA. It wasn't known Saturday whether he has an attorney.
