USA, Spring Hill Announce New Partnership

USA Spring Hill

The University of South Alabama and Spring Hill College, both in Mobile, have announced a new partnership allowing students to take courses between the two schools.

The new setup, called cross-registration, will take effect next January for the beginning of the Spring 2017 semester. Full-time undergraduate students at both universities will be allowed to enroll for full-credit courses at either university. The students will pay all tuition for those courses at their home school.

University of South Alabama President Dr. Tony Waldrop says the new arrangement will give students at both schools even more options to broaden their college education. Spring Hill College President Dr. Christopher Puto agrees, saying “the benefits for students at both institutions are significant”, and he looks forward to the partnership.

University officials say the vast majority of undergraduate courses at both institutions will be available for cross-registration. They say one major benefit is that students who need to complete a specific course as quickly as possible now have additional scheduling options.

Students are encouraged to consult with their faculty advisors to learn more about the new program.
