Huntsville, AL – 10 Ukrainian journalists are visiting the state through a University of Alabama at Huntsville program. The journalists were selected by the State Department through the program called Community Connections. The State Department started the program. It arranges for the group to visit national and local radio, television and newspaper outlets. The journalists arrived in this country in May and have been staying with host families. They'll remain here until Sunday. Ukrainian radio producer Vladyslava Maksymova says the trip allows him and the other nine journalists to develop media connections and exchange ideas with members of the American media.
