Tuscaloosa, AL – The Tuscaloosa County chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference announced its new leader Tuesday. Clarence Sutton Senior is the pastor and founder of Christian Community Church in Tuscaloosa. He also serves as an administrator in the Tuscaloosa City school system. Sutton says he wants to make sure the S-C-L-C provides a voice for the area's poor, and he wants the organization to be an advocate for those who need one. Sutton is a native of Anniston. He earned a masters degree in administration from the University of Alabama.
