Tune in for APR's "live" coverage of Presidential debates

NPR

Join Alabama Public Radio for "live" coverage of each of the Presidential debates between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Click below for selections of APR's award-winning coverage of the campaign here in Alabama.

NPR's Robert Seigel will host NPR's broadcast and analyst of the first debate Monday night at 8 pm at Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York. The debate will be moderated by NBC’s Lester Holt and divided into three 30-minute segments: the direction of America, Achieving Prosperity and Securing America. Holt will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.

All Things Considered host Robert Siegel will anchor NPR's debate coverage. The event will run 90 minutes without a break. Alabama Public Radio will carry the debate without interruption. After the debate, Siegel and NPR reporters will provide analysis and fact-checking until the conclusion of our coverage.

There will be two follow-up debates between the Presidential candidates, and one debate featuring the Vice Presidential running mates, Mike Pence and Tim Kaine. APR will provide "live" coverage of those events as well.
