Severe Weather Threatens the State Friday

By Alabama Public Radio

Undated, AL – The National Weather Service is warning Alabama residents to be prepared for severe weather Friday. It's expected to get bad in northwest Alabama first. The unstable weather will enter that part of the state by Friday afternoon, and the storm prediction center says residents should be ready for possible tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds. The weather will threaten the rest of the state by Friday evening. Flash flooding is expected as the storms move across Alabama, and rainfall may be very heavy in some areas. The severe weather threat will last until the early morning hours Saturday.
