Rivers Return to Banks, More Rain Will Come

By Alabama Public Radio

Undated, AL – Minor river flooding is expected to continue along several rivers in central and south Alabama Monday night. The waterways couldn't handle the recent amounts of rain the state has received. And, weather forecasters are concerned because another round of severe weather is expected to arrive by the middle of the week. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to enter Alabama by late Tuesday or Wednesday. The National Weather Service predicts some of those thunderstorms could be severe. Large hail, damaging winds and heavy rainfall will be possible.
