Montgomery, AL – A number of civic groups yesterday honored the exact moment of the historic Brown versus Board of Education Supreme Court ruling 50 years ago.
At 12:52 p-m yesterday, a new campaign was launched aimed to ending injustice in the public school system. The program is called RISE ... which stands for Replacing Inequities in Schools with Excellence.
RISE members say they hope to create public policy initiatives and develop strategies to end inequities in education.
