This week, Tuscaloosa residents can learn more about a major redevelopment plan for the downtown area.
An early version of the plan calls for the demolition of 7 city blocks and the displacement of more than 40 local businesses. A public meeting is being held on the issue this Thursday evening. The meeting will be held in downtown Tuscaloosa at the First Baptist Church Children's Center beginning at 6 pm.
