Montgomery, AL – Long-time Department of Transportation employee Don Vaughn will replace Ray Bass as the department's chief engineer. Department Director Joe McInnes announced Tuesday that he had appointed Vaughn with Governor Riley's approval. Vaughn has served as deputy director of operations since 2003, and he will continue in that role along with being chief engineer.
