Manufacturing CEO to Plead Guilty

By Alabama Public Radio

Roanoke, AL – The former head of an Alabama textile firm that overstated assets by $35 million has agreed to plead guilty in a fraud case that bankrupted the manufacturer and cost 300 people their jobs. Roy Terry was once the CEO of Terry Manufacturing Company in Roanoke. He's expected to plead guilty Monday in Birmingham federal court to charges including bank fraud, wire fraud, misuse of pension funds and illegal transportation of money across state lines. Terry faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison and $1 million in fines.
