Jeff Sessions for...Attorney General...Homeland Security?

Could Alabama be looking for a new U.S. Senator? President Elect Donald Trump acknowledged Alabama Republican Jeff Sessions during his victory speech in New York City. There’s already speculation Sessions could be the Defense Secretary in the new administration or even a member of the U.S. Supreme Court. Terry Lathan chairs the Alabama Republican party. She says there are a number of things Senator Sessions is qualified to do…

“Homeland Security Director, Attorney General of the United States…I think he has such a great gift…a conservative policy person. I think that many, many doors are open to him, should he choose to walk through them.”

Sessions says Trump’s victory at the poll is the result of issues like Washington’s failure to create an immigration system that protects the interests of the American people. Sessions also points to trade agreements like the Trans Pacific Partnership that don’t work to help U.S. businesses and workers.
