Montgomery, AL – Tuesday's Democratic runoff for Alabama House District 65 has been canceled. The Democratic Party disqualified Wayne Lathan of Jackson for filing a late campaign finance report. Lathan says he blames himself for missing the deadline. That means his runoff opponent, Gloria Dolbare of Bigbee, will advance to the general election. She's seeking to fill the seat of her late husband, state Representative Jeff Dolbare. She'll face Republican Nick Williams of Sims Chapel on January 25th. House District 65 covers all of Washington County and parts of Choctaw and Clarke counties.
