Crowd Prays for Missing Mobile Man

By Alabama Public Radio

Mobile, AL – There was a two-hour ceremony for Timothy Bell of Mobile Monday night. About 200 people gathered in Lyons Park to pray for Bell. He has been missing in Iraq since April 9th when his fuel truck convoy was attacked. Family members say they wanted to honor him and all Americans in Iraq with prayers, hymns and patriotic songs. Bell was working as a civilian contractor for K-B-R, a division of Halliburton Company. His sister, Felicia Carter, says the family has been told unofficially that Bell is being held hostage. But government and Halliburton officials say they don't know his status.
