Auburn's Tuberville Gets Contract Boost

By Alabama Public Radio

Auburn, AL – Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville has agreed to the principles of a contract that would make him one of the highest paid coaches in the Southeastern Conference. It's a five to seven-year deal reportedly worth at least two million dollars a year. Tuberville currently earns about one-point-five million but is also expected to receive 300-thousand dollars in performance bonuses this year. The Auburn Tigers are ranked third in the country and won the S-E-C championship this year with an undefeated record. The Tigers will play Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl on January third.
