By Alabama Public Radio

Helena, AL – American Idol contestant Bo Bice will return home to Alabama Thursday for a visit to his hometown of Helena. Bice will make stops Friday in Birmingham, Pelham and Helena. He'll make several appearances, sign CDs and give autographs at various times throughout the visit. The brief trip is intended to whip up local support for the singer and provide footage for the televisino show. Bice is expected to fly back to Los Angeles Friday night. He is one of the final three contestants on the reality series. The 29-year-old is competing against Carrie Underwood of Oklahoma nad Vonzell Solomon of Florida. All three contestants are making hometown visits during the next two days.
