Chris Davis returned a missed field goal over 100 yards for a touchdown on the final play to give the fourth-ranked Tigers a 34-28 thriller against the No. 1 Crimson Tide. Davis caught Adam Griffith's 57-yard attempt near the back of the end zone, then sprinted up the left side before cutting right with nothing but teammates surrounding him. Moments earlier, Auburn was complaining after officials put one second on the clock following T.J. Yeldon's run to the Tigers 39. Time initially had expired, but officials added the second following video review. Davis capped a wild game in which the Tigers trailed 21-7 in the second quarter and 28-21 in the final minute. Alabama grabbed its final lead when AJ McCarron connected with Amari Cooper on a school-record 99-yard touchdown with 10:28 remaining. McCarron's TD heave appeared to be the game-winner until Nick Marshall threw a 39-yard scoring strike to Sammie Coates with just 32 seconds left. McCarron was 17 of 29 for 277 and three touchdowns and no interceptions. Marshall completed 11 of his 16 passes but had just 58 passing yards until his last-minute scoring toss to Coates. Auburn was playing for the first time since Ricardo Louis scored a 73-yard touchdown pass off a deflection with 25 seconds left to give the Tigers a 43-38 win over Georgia on Nov. 16. The outcome puts the Tigers in the SEC title game and in contention for a spot in the BCS championship game just a year after a 3-9 season. Florida State stays on track for a spot in the national championship game by hammering rival Florida 37-7. Jameis Winston threw three touchdown passes to Kelvin Benjamin to help the No. 2 Seminoles improve to 12-0 for the first time since 1999. FSU will likely earn a spot in the BCS title game with a win over Duke in the ACC Championship game next week. Winston completed 19 of 31 passes for 327 yards as the Seminoles outgained Florida 456-193. Third-ranked Ohio State turned back a last minute bid for an upset to hold off Michigan 42-41. The Buckeyes ran their record to 12-0 and extended their winning streak to 24 games when the Wolverines failed on a two-point conversion with 32 seconds left. Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller accounted for five touchdowns and Carlos Hyde spearheaded a punishing running game with 226 rushing yards and a TD.
