Eva Demonbreun Lynch

Program Assistant

Eva started working  for Alabama Public Radio as a student assistant while attending The University of Alabama in 2000.  "Being given the wonderful opportunity to learn what makes a radio station tick, as well as learning the ins and outs of fundraising from our tireless development team was such an interesting way to make a living while earning my B.A."

A short while later she migrated up the hallway to begin working for The Center for Public Television & Radio.  Her student position grew into a part-time accounting assistant position where she was fortunate to work alongside a very creative group of producers, videographers, and editors, giving her insight into the world of documentary, television, and media production.

"Keeping the whole motley crew financially afloat is the work of some very talented, smart and witty women, and I was lucky enough to finally land a position among them as Program Assistant for CPT&R."

Now the job of a Program Assistant is a hard one to define.  This is not a job for the faint-hearted!  In short, program assistants do whatever is required to help get the job done.   She handles multiple projects across three departments.  Her work crosses into areas such as database management, accounting & auditing, writing & editing, website development, and online publishing.  Occasionally she has even been called on to be an emergency photographer.  ("The proof of which are the bad photos you might see from time to time in our newsletter or online...note I DID say they were emergency shots!")

Currently, Eva is working on her Master's Degree in Library and Information Sciences through the College of Communications MLIS program at the University of Alabama.
