This enchanting musical by Pulitzer Prize-winner Marsha Norman and Lucy Simon contains some of the most beautiful music written for the stage. When young Mary Lennox loses her parents to a cholera outbreak in India, she is sent to live with her uncle in Britain, Archibald Craven, who lives in a sad prison of regret. Mary’s love begins to change the empty manor house and the discovery of a once-beautiful garden, leads the audience to a touching story of love and redemption. The performance is directed by Bruce Earnest, associate dean of The Roger Breland School of Music and School of Worship Leadership, and associate professor of music and musical theatre. Beginning Sept. 1, individual tickets are $25 for general admission and $10 for students with a valid student ID. Tickets available at itickets.com and at the door.
